Damiano is 29th in overall standing: the best italian rider


He didn’t win, but fans and persons involved in the work liked Cunego’s Tour . Damiano fought in many occasions, taking part to breakaways and attacks with the aim to win a stage. At the end he was very closed to it in Saint Jean de Maurienne, where he was third at the sprint and in Pau, where once again at the sprint he took fourth. Praiseworthy also his work in favour of his team mate Petacchi, who was looking for points for the green jersey, that he wore on the Paris podium. Finally Cunego has got also the worth to be the first italian rider in the overall standing (29th).
